D-Day
Fought on June-6-1944 D-day was the turning point in world war two for the allies. They had the best of the best of commanders. As the allied Air force British commander Air Chief Marshal Trafford L. Leigh-Mallory was Appointed head of the Air force. Appointed to the head of the navy was British Admiral Bertram H. Ramsay and Montgomery as the commander of the ground force's. We didn't just attack on the beaches of Normandy but all the allies attacked at many different areas on different parts of France. This picture below of the attacks and were they were the attacks took place. this was the starting of the end of the war. This battle lead to the end of world war two.
When 150,00 men and 5,000 ship attacked the beaches it had started flier was not an option. If the allies won this battle we had the war won their wouldn't be much left to tie up. with the axis powers or otherwise know as Germany, Italy, and japan having the high ground about a 100 to 85 feet above the coast that was why the allies had the disadvantage in this battle. So there were many air streaks and the ships were firing there cannons at the Germans form out at sea. When the landing was cleared one of the first ships in battle sank form rough sea's living only one server. After landing with flied attempt's of trying to get the ladders (because they were wet from the rain) the rangers got to the to of the cliffs in to small group they all accomplished their mission's but at the coast of 15 army rangers. When the found that the German's had moved their artillery guns and the phone lines were only temporarily put so they split up in to two groups one to make a base camp and the other one went south to look for the missing artillery gun in an apple orchard. When they found them they the guns with their grenades. With the rangers missions complete they move on but the slead the victory of world war two. with the victory sled
